Beauty tips for Photos

Beauty tips for Photos

Here are 10 tips on how to look  good in pictures using make up!
These are tips that can be for a professional photographer's shot or even just for your camera phone!
APPLY MAKE UP USING NATURAL LIGHT
For best results apply your make up in natural light. Indoor lighting can alter the appearance of your make up. Some lights may wash you, out causing you to apply make up too heavily.
WHEN USING POWDER, USE YELLOW-TINTED

Yellow tinted powder is better than shimmery or translucent powders for pictures. The other powders will reflect the light, leaving you with a shine.
BLEND YOUR UNDER EYE CONCEALER

Blend out the concealer extremely well. If your concealer isn't well blended it may reveal fine lines and awkward coloring around the eye.
USE MATTE MAKE UP

When you're going to be photographed you want to avoid anything that is going to reflect light on your face. The camera flash and the added shimmer will leave you looking oily.
MASCARA AND BLACK LINERS

The darker hue will give you better contrast. The contrast will make your eyes pop more. We all want that, right?
APPLY BLUSH
Skipping blush will wash your face out, especially under a heavy flash. Blush adds definition, wiithout the blush, you won't have nearly the amount of definition that you would have if you add a bit of blush. Start light and add more if needed.
NEVER SKIP THE LIPSTICK
Skipping lipstick will cause your mouth to blend in with the rest of your face. You need to contrast your features for best results. Put on a bold lip or even something nude -- it all depends on what look you are going for!

AVOID SHADOWS WHEN TAKING PHOTOS

Try not to create any shadows on your face with make up.Do not apply dark shadows below the eyes. Also learn how to position your face towards the camera to avoid creating shadows across your face or under your chin
CONTOUR AND HIGHLIGHT
You can use bronzer a shade or two darker than your natural color to brush on under your cheekbones, under your chin, along either side of your nose, and the outer corners of your forehead. Apply a lighter color on the areas that light hits. Apply it to the tops of your checks, the center of your forehead, and the bridge of your nose.
TRY TO AVOID RED EYES IN PHOTOS

Don’t forget to use eye drops to get rid of any red lines in your eyes. Those pesky bloodshot eyes can really mess up a good picture. You can also help your eyes look bigger and clearer by using a little white shadow on the inside corners of both eyes.

Shades of Beauty trends

 Trend Shades of Beauty

Vibrant shades may be all over the lips this season but not all over the face!
The trends for eye shadows and blush are definitely warmer tones with a more contoured face. We’re moving away from the smoky eye and revealing a more refined stoic appeal with defined cheeks and lips.

It’s still all about the brows, structured fuller brows and light on the eyeliner. It’s a look that frames the face rather than focusing on any one particular area. The look is sharp and crisp just like those brisk mornings you experience on a cool winters day.

Tips for Applying Eyeshadow

TIPS FOR APPLYING EYESHADOW

When applying them, consider the eye shapes you have. The common types of eye shapes include the hooded lids, deep-set eyes, big eyes, small eyes, far apart eyes, round eyes, monolids, and almond eyes, upturned and down turned eyes, Asian eyes, close set eyes, oriental, prominent eyes, and so on. The general rule is to apply eyeshadow in a way to accentuate your diminished feature and diminish any overwhelming features.

How to Apply Eyeshadow – Applying Eyeshadow for different types of eyes

When applying eyeshadow, ensure you use the correct type of brush.

Some of the common types of eyeshadow brushes include the flat tipped brush to use on your eyelids, crease brush, tiny pencil brush and a blending brush.

When applying them, do not use vigorous strokes. Instead, use gently strokes and work until you get a uniform nice coat.

Furthermore, just use the tip of your brush and feather it to where you want it to appear. Avoid swiping color back and forth i.e. apply towards one direction.

In addition, when blending them, ensure you use swirling soft motions.

After using your eyeshadow brushes, ensure you wash them or when buying them, make inquiries of how it can be cleaned.
If you are using powder formulation and you want more vivid looks, you can wet the brush.

If you want to create depth, you might be required to use three hues or colors.

The general rule for using different colors is similar to the one of using different shades. The darkest color is applied next to the lash line up to the eye creases; the eye crease will have the medium color while the area above the eye crease to the brow bone will have the lightest or mild color.

When using eye shadow, you need carefully to pair them up with other makeup such as lip makeup or even the other eye makeup. They should complement each other. If you want to draw attention to your eyes, the other face makeup should be mild to make your eyes outstanding.

Eyeshadow- Using a cut crease

CUT CREASE EYESHADOW

TOOLS:

  • Black Longwear Eyeliner Pencil
  • Metallic Brown Shadow (Crease)
  • Matte Colored Shadow (Lid)
  • Black Kohl Pencil
  • Crease Brush
  • Mascara
  • Smudge Brush
  • Your Favorite Highlighting Shadow

STEPS:
1. Line the crease “socket” with the longwear pencil by starting at one corner and tracing along the crease in an arched shape until you reach the other corner.
2. Dip the crease brush into the metallic brown shadow and sweep it back and forth over the crease line, concentrating on blending it directly on the line and upward but not downward.
3. Load up one more time with the metallic brown shadow and repeat step 2.
4. Line the upper lashline and wing it slightly at the same angle of the cut crease.
5. Switch to the blackest black kohl pencil and line the lower lashline and rim the inner waterline.
7. Pick any matte color in the rainbow and sweep it across the lid carefully. You can absolutely do this step before the liner if you’re worried about accidentally going over it.
8. Add a couple coats of mascara.
9. Dip the smudge brush into metallic brown shadow and sweep it under the liner on the lower lashline. Then stamp the highlighting shadow in the inner corners with your finger.
